Located on 48 acres along the central California coast just south of Santa Barbara, the Gallup & Stribling Orchid Farm combines more than 1.5 million square feet of greenhouse space with a state-of-the-art breeding and distribution facility. Founded in 1947 as “Alek's Orchids,” the Gallup & Stribling Farm expanded to its present form in 1959, and has enjoyed substantial growth ever since. Today it is by far the largest grower of Orchids in the United States. Proving that bigger can-in fact-be better, Gallup & Stribling is widely known and respected for the exceptional quality of the orchids bred and grown at the farm. In 2000, Gallup & Stribling opened a permanent Visitor's Center, welcoming members of the public to come and view the farm's operation.
